About the Role
Sound NSW is a dedicated office in the NSW Government committed to the growth, development, and promotion of contemporary music in NSW. By championing and investing in contemporary music, Sound NSW aims to foster creative careers, encourage innovation, enhance export opportunities, and create positive outcomes for artists, industry professionals, music businesses, and audiences.
The Music Liaison provides grant assistance, sources information, connections to services, funding opportunities and resources and delivers support to music industry applicants to drive growth of the contemporary music sector in NSW.
Key accountabilities include:

• Key contact for all queries and requests from the music sector, providing relevant, up to date advice and assistance to build capability regarding information, opportunities and services
• Providing a connection point to funding opportunities and resources
• Creating positive customer experiences and building strong relationships with stakeholders
• Update and maintain records and databases, accurately record and track issues and complaints and escalate unresolved matters through appropriate channels to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
• Coordinating discrete projects, undertaking research, maintaining records and preparing and tracking of a wide range of written communication materials suitable to a variety of stakeholders including reports, governance papers, briefing notes, discussion papers and presentations conveying complex information simply.

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge of the contemporary music industry ecosystem and experience with funding delivery.
