Reddam House is an independent, co-educational and non-denominational school located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced music educator with a proven track record in teaching years 7-10 to join our thriving department. HSC Experience will be valued, as is any experience of leading ensembles and/or accompaniment. This role is permanent and full-time.
Essential Requirements - Skills & Experience:
Must hold a Music Degree and relevant Educational qualification
Knowledge and mastery of the relevant NESA syllabus content
At least 3 years experience in teaching Stages 4 & 5 Music
Experience teaching contemporary and art music to cater for varying styles and levels of ability
The Ideal Candidate
Has the interest and ability to engage with students and inspire them to achieve their personal best, differentiating for a variety of levels
Has a natural rapport with students, staff and parents/carers
Possess a clear understanding of teaching and learning, specialist music knowledge, understanding of curriculum and experience in program development
Experience in piano, guitar and/or music technology would be beneficial, as would the ability to coordinate and direct co-curricular ensembles
