Would you have experience using music therapy techniques to support nonverbal individuals with ASD during music therapy? Could you also tell us more about your hobbies and music skills, if any? Your musical skills, including your proficiency in musical instruments and ability to connect with participants through music? Role of a Music Therapist:
- Trained professionals who use music as a therapeutic tool for individuals with various needs, including those on the autism spectrum
- Assess clients' skills and tailor their approach to meet unique needs through live improvised music
- Music Therapy Sessions:
- Typically in 1:1 or small group sessions every week
- Activities include sharing music through singing, playing, dancing, and listening, teaching self-regulation, identity exploration, skill building, and emotional support

- Backed by a substantial body of research
- Recognized by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as an effective intervention for individuals with autism
