The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. About the role:As NAC continues to progress, we are now seeking experienced CHPP Maintenance Operators (Mechanical and Electrical) to join the CHPP Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working either a 7/7 day roster or 7/7 day / night rotating roster and reporting to the CHPP Supervisor, the CHPP Maintenance Operator plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe coal production and effective coal delivery.
What you will do:- Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance activities within the plant
- Operation, inspection and monitoring of the CHPP operations
- Comply with site procedures to ensure safe and consistent delivery of the CHPP production targets
- Participate in CHPP improvement processes as required
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the CHPP
- Comply with New Hope Group’s Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times
To be considered for these opportunities you will bring:
- Trade Qualifications within the Mechanical or Electrical Engineering fields
- Maintenance and Operation of Coal Washplants or other heavy industry experience an advantage
- Ability to conduct diagnostic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of industrial pumping, sizing, screening and conveyor systems
- Experience in the use of SCADA control systems for process control will be highly regarded
- Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable)

- Ability to work either a 7/7 day roster or a 7/7 day / night roster including weekends and night shift
- The ability to contribute to and work as part of team in a fast-paced environment
