Job Description
We are a family of 4, myself (43 work full time), my wife (37, working part time), our 10yr old daughter going on 16(goes to Gosnell's Primary), our son (7ys old, has mitochondrial disease/CP in his legs so uses a wheelchair, non-verbal uses communication device, attends Kenwick special school) plus our dog , our cat, chickens, ducks and birds all part of the fam!
Your Duties
We have support worker funding this year through the NDIS for our son, approx. 6hrs per day, 5 days a week. Mainly looking for assistance during morning routines and afternoon depending on what suits. Morning would be from around 6am to 9am, including helping with school drop off. Assisting us get the kids ready and off to school, maybe helping pack lunches, folding clothes & help keeping the home tidy. Afternoons would be from 2pm to 5pm, basic afternoon activities with our son, including school pick up. Role model for our daughter and someone our son feels comfortable with.Most of the time you would be supporting my wife, but there are days where she would be working early mornings or afternoons where you would be by yourself with the kids and taking care of school run between me either leaving for work or coming home. We have a Kia carnival to transport our son which you will be able to use in these circumstances.There is also possibly 4-6hrs, one weekend a month for respite.If the entire number of hours does not suit, we are open to having a couple of carers/support workers to cover our needs, so please get in touch.
