We’re a family of four (five if you include our dog Scout). Mum and Dad in our early 40s and an 8 year old boy and 5 year old girl. Dad works away from home a lot and Mum works full time on the Gold Coast. The children both go to school full-time in Mudgeeraba.I like to think we’re an easy-going, friendly family. No allergies, dietary requirements or medications to worry about. We do have a medium-sized dog who the children love to play with but she stays outside mostly.
Your Duties
During term time, we need someone to help with after school pick up and activities, preparing dinner for the kids and getting lunch boxes ready for the next day. Hours during term time are typically 3pm - 6:30 pm five days a week.During school holidays (our school seems to have really long ones - 16 weeks throughout the year!), we need someone to help out full-time which is normally between 8am - 6:30pm five days a week.Our current nanny made the hours work for her by keeping a job as a casual hotel housekeeper during the day, leaving her free for school pick ups and flexible to go full-time during school holidays.No real cleaning duties required but it’d be great if you could put the kids’ uniforms/swimmers on to wash on a Wednesday afternoon and run the vacuum under the table after a very messy dinner.
Our Perfect Caregiver
We’re looking for a loving, caring nanny to look after our two children. Our current nanny, who has been with us for nearly two years, is off to explore the world so we’re looking for someone else to join our family. Previous experience caring for children in similar situations, blue card, reference checks and first aid certificate are required. We will also conduct a Police check at our cost.A car and driving licence is required. We’ll provide car seats. Non-smoking is an absolute must. Pay based on experience.
