Nanny | Household Manager | Cook – Live in or Live out

 We are seeking a long-term candidate that will be a valuable member of our family, as such we wish to appropriately compensate the right candidate. This role is circa $67,990 yearly PLUS a fringe benefit of more than 30k which includes holidays (all expenses paid), company car, fuel, living expenses & food (if live in). Total value in excess $98,000 per year.

We are a loving, happy and very busy family of four on the Gold Coast, seeking a professional Live-in or Live out Nanny | Household Manager to join our family. With two beautiful children aged 1 (girl) and 3.5 (boy) who both have 5 days childcare available to them, we are looking for someone to be part of not just our household, but our family. To this end, we are seeking only those who wish to be with us for longer than 12 months, who love kids and family and all the idiosyncrasies that go with that. A passport and the travel bug are a must as we often go away locally or otherwise with little notice when the opportunity in our work schedules presents itself. Between drop off and pick up Monday to Friday, your time/our house, pool etc is yours once household/meal prep needs are done unless the kids are home for a rest day, sick day or general life adventure. 

We value our family's privacy, overall household organisation and efficiency, and forward thinking. We also love to just be ourselves in our home. Our business personas are very different to what you'll see on holidays or at the breakfast table! 

If you're quick on your feet and have a flexible and sharp mind, the rest will flow. This role, and others we prioritise (gardener, cleaner, dog groomer etc) are very important to us, to allow us to have the best of ourselves available to our children and all those moments that are non-negotiable to be a part of in family life, and we treat those who help us achieve that accordingly. 

Responsibilities:

  • Child Development Knowledge: Someone who loves children and is genuinely interested in their growth and development in all areas
  • Engagement: Paw Patrol, our family farm and cars feature heavily in the hearts of our little ones! 
  • Connection: Able to connect, love, and create experiences with us and our children
  • Flexibility: This is paramount (early morning and late nights at the office go in waves and aren't frequent) and essential for family and business stability. 
  • Morning Routine: Breakfast, getting ready for school/daycare
  • School Runs: Drop off and pick up from school Monday-Friday
  • Daycare: up to 5 days a week which means child-free days/time to manage household duties and to have some time to yourself.
  • Night routine including cooking and assisting with dinner, bath, books, bed
  • Cooking healthy meals for the family 
  • Activities: sporting and social events as an extra pair of hands and cheer squad 
  • Excursions: Enjoys taking children on adventures like the park, zoo, beach, parks, and museums (expenses paid) during school holidays. 

  Housekeeping/Household Management:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and tidy home environment.
  • Manage laundry, including washing, folding, and organising clothing and linens.
  • Keep kitchen and common areas neat and organised.
  • Coordinate and oversee household schedules and appointments.
  • Assist with grocery shopping, meal planning, and meal preparation.
  • Coordinate with the Personal Assistant to organise maintenance personnel or contractors, as needed.
  • Keep inventory of household supplies and replenish as necessary.

 Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with parents regarding children’s activities, schedules, and development.
  • Collaborate with parents to ensure consistency in childcare routines and disciplinary measures.
  • Provide regular updates on household tasks and any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Healthy Cooking: Provide healthy meals, low cholesterol, high protein for the entire family, both children have dairy and egg allergies.

 We have a weekly professional cleaner that comes to do all heavy-duty cleaning duties, the cleaning required would be general and light in nature. 

Optional - Living in Arrangements:

  • Room: Private downstairs bedroom / toilet with built-in mirrored wardrobes, beside table, lamp and Smart-TV (desk as required, or anything else you'd like /need), shared upstairs bathroom with children

 Additional Requirements:

  • Personality: Tidy, respectful, enjoys a clean home and a good laugh
  • Pets: elderly sausage dog who will be your best friend for life
  • Commitment: Minimum 12-month commitment
  • Driving: company car provided
  • Certifications: WWC Certificate, First Aid, CPR for Children

 Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a nanny and/or childcare provider, preferably with infants and toddlers.
  • Great health-conscious cooking skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Non-smoker.
  • Must be comfortable with pets (we have a friendly dog).
