The opportunity
The National HSE Manager Contract Logistics, reporting to the Group HSEQ Manager will support our Contract Logistics business nationally. You will provide support and guidance to the key stakeholders, driving a culture of safety first and embedding safety leadership and accountability across the Contract Logistics business.
Balancing this by being a visible safety leader and being at the forefront of the organisation.
To be successful in the role you will need to be able to:
- Partner with the Contract Logistics operational teams to build capability through effective relationship building, influencing, and coaching
- Provide advice and technical support across all Contract Logistics business units
- Implement HSE standards which ensure a safe workplace for the prevention of injuries
- Accurately monitor and report on workplace HSE performance, proactively identifying opportunities to improve through risk reduction strategies
- Participate in the injury management process with the assistance and guidance of the National Return to Work and Wellbeing Manager to manage claims & RTW plans
- Assist the National Quality Manager to ensure adherence to company standards and compliance.
- Contribute to key policy development projects, the identification of emerging issues, policy research and analysis, and the prioritisation of research and policy development.
Who are you?
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 5 years + experience in HSE&Q within High Volume Warehousing and Transport
- Degree or Diploma on OHS, Science, Health or equivalent
- RTW & ICAM training
- Certificate IV - Trainer and Assessor (desirable)
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable WHS and HVNL requirements
- Experience with completion of NHVAS audits and managing relationships with NHVR
- Experience dealing with complex injury case management
- Understanding of environmental processes within the warehousing industry
- Ability to interpret legislation, standards and regulations and translate to internal stakeholders
- Strong influencing and communication skills
- Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel within Victoria and interstate when required
