They are currently seeking an experienced National Independent Sales Manager to join their growing team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Sales you will oversee all sales aspects across the independent channel which aims for revenue growth, market expansion and increased brand prominence.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and implement comprehensive sales strategies across on and off-premises independent channels to exceed sales targets and expand brand awareness.
- Manage sales volume and revenue targets to achieve growth vs budget for the independent channel.
- Develop and execute the customer promotional plans by Customer groups and Banners, manage pricing strategies and engage customers to enhance sales efficiency and brand loyalty.
- Lead and empower the sales team, establishing clear objectives and supporting them in achieving set goals.
- Maintain and grow key accounts, ensuring sales targets are met and relationships are nurtured.
- Work closely with marketing and cross functionally with all departments to ensure sales and marketing activity is coordinated and efficiently implemented at a national level.
- Work across functionally with all departments to ensure commercial opportunities are maximised and support is provided.
- Conduct in-depth market research and sales analysis to uncover growth opportunities and align product development.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Represent the company at industry events, engaging in brand education and fostering strong client relationships.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- You will have 5+ years sales and/or marketing experience preferably within the spirits industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience
- Experience with direct buyer/decision makers across multi-unit outlets preferred.
- Previous distributor experience/management experience
- High level of self-motivation and goal oriented
- Strong organisational, communication and influencing skills required.
- Experience working across a beverage alcohol distributor network preferred.
