About the opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a National Lead Hair Extensions Educator on a part time basis.
The Hair Extensions Educator role is paramount in adding value to our brand and delivering the educational experience that Hair Candy is so well known for.
In this role, you will:
- Travel around Australia educating salons and hairdressers in the Hair Candy signature methods and techniques.
- Run group masterclasses and 1:1 education teaching students how to apply Hair Extensions, theory and business principles.
- Report directly to the Wholesale manager and work closely with the wholesale team to create a seamless customer experience when booking education.
- Be responsible for making education sales and meeting KPIs.
- Assess account needs and provide recommendations on opportunities to grow business and drive sales through education.
- Actively search for and develop relationships with new salons to entice them to stock and promote our range of Hair Extensions.
- Maintain and build relationships with our current and past education students.
- Provide updated and ongoing education to our VIP customers.
- Create engaging and motivating education sessions for salon and wholesale accounts, teams, and groups.
- Film and create education-based content for our social media manager. Must be confident in front of the camera.
- Communicate with our marketing team to advise of key dates and strategies for marketing our education calendar.
- When not travelling, assist with the day-to-day running of the business, such as welcome calls, packing orders, and greeting walk-in customers.
About you:
You will possess the following experience and / or attributes:
- Qualified Hairdresser (5+ years as a senior stylist)
- Experience working with Hair Extensions
- Advanced skills in creative hair styling
- Experience in an education role is preferential but not required
- Proficient computer skills in using programs such as Canva, Google Docs/Sheets and Shopify
- In-depth knowledge of current hair fashion trends and the hair industry in general
- Energetic, self-led, with an autonomous approach to work
- Exceptional communications skills – both written and verbal
- Confident in speaking in a room full of students and have the ability to think quickly
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience in filming and creating content.
- Interested in developing your personal brand as an educator.
The Role
This exciting Part-time role will be based at our Burleigh Heads HQ on the beautiful Gold Coast. The role:
- Involves Weekly travel to interstate locations to hold Masterclasses, Look and Learns and 1:1 private training sessions.
- Sunday to Wednesday work week, with travel on some Saturdays if needed.
- Excellent base salary with the opportunity for bonuses as well.
