We are looking for an experienced road transport professional to take on a key role in our business, working with our National General Manager and driver team through an ongoing period of growth. The position is based at our Head Office and Victorian depot at Millbrook. The role will provide essential support to the Operations Managers on weekends, when on annual leave and days off in order to ensure that spring water orders are delivered to customers in a safe, efficient and timely manner. You will also be responsible for providing maintenance support and liaising with the relevant Operations Manager where required.
The Role
- Coordinate Black Mount’s weekend transport logistics across all locations, with effective handovers at the commencement and conclusion of the weekend.
- Manage national schedules to manage customer requirements, water source capacities and driver rosters
- Liaise with customers to determine any changes to set production schedules and delivery requirements
- Adjust daily national customer, water and driver schedules.
- Adhere to driver roster and ensure driver hours conform with CoR requirements
- Manage day-to-day driver issues
- Manage customer reporting on load deliveries
- Manage scheduled and ad-hoc fleet maintenance including breakdowns and faults
- Assist with annual leave relief for other operations roles
About You
- Strong operational, scheduling and maintenance experience in road transport.
- A positive and motivated self-starter who is able to communicate effectively, adopts a customer first attitude and is flexible in handling changing business demands.
- Experience in multi-location workforce scheduling with advanced proficiency in logistics/scheduling software.
- High level of computer literacy with intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge.
- In-depth knowledge of legislative and regulatory transport requirements including Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
- Mechanical knowledge essential, with experience in coordinating servicing and repairs for prime movers and tankers
