And we've been doing it for over 170 years.If we do our job well, we genuinely add to the prosperity of our country and its people.How you'll make an impactAMP Bank Lending and Everyday Banking Distribution is a division of AMP Bank who operates predominantly through a business-to-business model but also has a direct to consumer arm. Customers are primarily introduced through relationships with mortgage brokers for Home lending via Aggregators (head groups), fixed income brokers for deposits and both dealer groups (Advice) and aggregators for Business Finance. The National Sales ManagerBroker Distribution falls under the Lending and EDB Distribution business unit.The purpose of this role is to lead a team of field BDMs to deliver lending growth through accredited mortgage brokers, AMP Aligned Financial Advisers and deposit growth through fixed income brokers. This extends to all lending and deposit products in which these channels are accredited for.You'll make an impact by:
  • Relationship management with key stakeholders internally and externally including with aggregator state and national managers, broker key customers, Bank Technology & Operations, Risk and Credit.
  • Promoting and driving a clear sense of purpose and direction for the positioning and performance of the brokers
  • Interpret market and internal data and develop targeted activity and initiatives that deliver on AMP bank objectives across the area.
  • Creating a sense of one team ownership and drive a culture of accountability and delivery across the lending tribe and broader Bank.
  • Leading by example, developing, and coaching the BDM team members to improve engagement, utilisation and effectiveness and achieve high performance across the team.
What you will bring to the team
  • Demonstrated experience in broker/3rd party distribution in Home Lending or Commercial Lending, with State or national level people accountability
  • 5-10 years in financial services - with a strong background in managing key intermediaries in the home lending and or/business finance market. Additional experience in customer service, Banking, Product or Financial Services Licensee or other experience in financial services including business and commercial lending considered is also advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading significant changes in ways of working and ability to influence and build capability across a national market place
  • Experience in development and delivery of key market business plans with executional delivery through a 3rd party network
  • Holding or working towards a tertiary or other industry related qualification preferred
  • Credit experience and qualifications preferred
