Tyree Cables is a business unit of the Tyree Group with cable manufacturing, warehousing and distribution operations spanning Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. In support of this continued growth, Tyree Cables are seeking a National Sales & Product Manager to join our team located at our South East Melbourne cable manufacturing and copper processing operations, to lead sales, product management & champion customer service within Tyree Cables.
The challenges in this role are around developing the growth initiatives for the business & ensuring these are commercialised effectively.
The Role Requirements
We are seeking candidates with significant experience in nurturing long-term business relationships because they offer:
• Demonstrated ability to strategically engage with senior executives within our customer base, while maintaining a strong emphasis on our business performance in their day-to-day transactions, particularly in stock management and maintaining DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) status.
• A proven track record of a proactive and customer-centric approach, supported by a positive and action-oriented work ethic, along with a willingness to assist customers whenever & wherever.
• A proficiency in engaging in practical and personable conversations during customer interactions, especially with team members in retail or branch-based businesses.
• An established reputation for developing strong relationships with Distributors, outlet & profit centre managers, their teams, and Regional General Managers across wholesaling, distribution centres and at branch outlets.
• A history of contributing to business improvement initiatives in areas such as manufacturing, finance, and distribution, resolving critical customer issues and addressing strategic sales challenges and opportunities effectively.

Market & Product Management
• Proven experience in driving long term Product, Category, Brand & Market growth across various business sectors, including electrical wholesaling, retail automotive, and project/OEM sales within equipment manufacturers, industrial, rail, and mining industries.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skills in business management, sales and marketing, and/or in a technical electrical field.
