Job description

Do you have:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Family Violence systems across Australia, including key policies and legislation that impact direct practice?

• Comprehensive understanding of the dynamics and impacts of Family Violence, its gendered nature, and the need for appropriate responses through working with men?

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation, training, and group facilitation skills?

NTV is seeking sessional trainers from anywhere in Australia with an initial focus and priority for the delivery of the ‘Working with adults using Family Violence’ MARAM training. These packages build skills, practice, and capacity across the Human Services system, to enable effective working with adults who use Family Violence.

This training is delivered through a combination of online and/or face-to-face training sessions in Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria. Training is currently predominantly online, so these opportunities are available for practitioners right across the country.

Whilst it will be beneficial, you don’t need to have experience in delivering men’s behaviour change programs. You won’t need to develop training content as the training packages include pre-prepared full facilitator guides, PowerPoint presentations, Participant Guides, and supporting workshop materials.

Beyond the MARAM training are ongoing opportunities to deliver a range of Family Violence non-accredited public training programs and bespoke training for specific organisations and groups addressing the diverse needs of specialist services, allied professionals, and non-Family Violence corporate workplaces. This training will again be a combination of face-to-face and online training nationally, so trainers can be based in any State.

If you have a passion for and understanding of Family Violence and gender equity and are a strong trainer/facilitator, we’d love to hear from you.
