Journe is a small boutique NDIS provider located in the Hunter Valley specialising in Mental Health. We provide capacity building supports for participants in the Maitland, Newcastle, Cessnock and Lake Macquarie areas. We are committed to empowering individuals and promoting inclusivity within our community. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
 

Position Overview:

As a NDIS Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with disabilities, fostering independence, and enhancing their overall well-being. You will be responsible for implementing person-centred plans, supporting daily activities and promoting community participation.

 This role will be a contractor position to give you greater autonomy with your work. We offer a supportive workplace culture and flexible work schedule that can be easily adjusted around class timetables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities.
• Assist in daily living activities.
• Implement individualised support plan goals.
• Foster community engagement and social inclusion.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure holistic care.
• Document and report on the progress of individuals.

Requirements:

• Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Experience in disability support or a related field preferred but not required.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
