Position Overview:
Being a NDIS Support Worker involves a diverse range of tasks aimed at empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives while providing them with the necessary support and assistance they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with NDIS participants, their families, and support networks to achieve NDIS goals.
- Assess individual needs and NDIS goals to determine suitable support.
- Provide your assistance with information for participants to choose available support options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date reporting and shift notes.
- Stay current on Pantheon Care NDIS policies and guidelines.
- Assisting with self-care, meal prepping and social outings.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with family members, participants, and office staff.
Previous Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in disability services, Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Disability support.
- Candidates should have experience in a Support work role, ideally within the NDIS, Child Protection, and/or Mental Health sectors.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
- Empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
