NDT Technician - Leading Hand Processing, Surface Operations – Workshop Mount Isa, Queensland, AustraliaRef No. 100617Glencore’s Mount Isa Mines is looking for a NDT Technician - Leading Hand that will be responsible for the facilitation of Non-Destructive Testing programs relating to fixed plant across our surface and underground operations. Promoting and reinforcing a culture of safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement
Providing a high level of service to the Queensland Metals Asset Stakeholders in both a planned and breakdown fashion to meet the needs of the business – customer focus will be a key performance indicator for this role
Facilitating continuous improvement of NATA accredited NDT Lab; and
Ensuring all planned maintenance work relating to Non-destructive Testing of the Fixed Plant & Mobile Equipment is carried out efficiently and effectively.
Build relationships across the wider business to secure new works and expand on current portfolio
The ability to record and report all testing results accurately to meet NATA reporting requirements
To be a successful applicant you will have:
Possess a high level of attention to detail and demonstrate a can do attitude
Articulate, demonstrate and promote the Queensland Metals vision statement
Intermediate knowledge in the use of Microsoft suites and SAP familiarity advantageous
Current Certification in Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant & Ultrasonic methods (ISO 9712 Level 2 AINDT or PCN qualification).
Visual Inspection is preferable.
Manual driver’s licence.
Knowledge of NATA and Non-Destructive Testing standards and best technical practices; and
Good knowledge or interpretation of Australian & ISO Standards
