The company specialises in performing non-destructive tests and inspections to secure the quality and integrity of technical facilities.
Applus are currently seeking an experienced Advanced NDT Technician with extensive experience offshore. The work will be ongoing on a 2/2 roster based offshore in NW WA with mobilisation point in Perth.
CORE FUNCTION - Conduct Non Destructive Testing & Inspections
Principal Duties
Conduct Non Destructive Testing and Inspection on ropes offshore
Liaise with clients in regard to the inspection and where required reporting, ensuring a courteous manner is maintained at all times
Supervise Assistants, Trainees whilst on the job ensuring that they conduct themselves appropriately and maintain adherence to the scope of work.
Ensure that equipment is maintained in a serviceable condition at all times and where required is calibrated.
Compile written reports in a timely manner.
Other Functions
Perform (commensurate with experience) or assist with inspection work as required.
Quality Management
Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with the requirements of the A+ Quality Management System.
Foster a positive attitude in relation to Quality Management issues within the workplace.
Safety & Environment
Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with the requirements of the A+ Health Safety and Environmental Management System, observing in addition any site specific and/or statutory requirements.
Foster a positive attitude in relation to Safety and Environment issues within the workplace.
Knowledge and Skills
Technical abilities and relevant qualifications MT/PT/UT/IRATA Level 1
Have an adequate knowledge of inspection codes criteria and statutory requirements.
