The purpose of the Network Access Data Steward role is to provide timely technical support in the provision of access to Powerlink Networks, supporting real-time network operations. This includes creating and maintaining data within Powerlink’s Operational Systems, Drawings & databases ensuring accurate allocation of nomenclature for high voltage plant and entering customer outage requests.


The role may also include data audits, reporting, project coordination activities, training, cross-training to support other Data Roles when required and procedure/documentation development. 
 

Here's how:


⦁    Provide Network Access technical support updating policies and procedures, coordinating projects and maintaining relevant data to minimise network down time ⦁    Monitor and maintain the HV Index and Outage Management System to ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards ⦁    Liaise with other Powerlink groups and relevant stakeholders, such as operators, generators, customers and maintenance service providers  

Your expertise

  • AQF6 qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent formal qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution 
  • Demonstrated ability in the application of specific and critical procedures for Safe Access to High Voltage Electrical Apparatus for the purpose of preparing, writing and authorising of works packages.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of transmission networks, its elements and protection schemes.
  • Extensive experience providing technical support; or working in a Transmission or Distribution associated power system operations services field

We'd also love you to have: 


⦁    Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and schedule tasks during periods of high workload to meet customer needs ⦁    Considerable experience in working with customers to deliver project outcomes. ⦁    Database Skills MS-SQL, MicroStation CAD Skills, AutoCAD Skills, SAP, Outage management System experience.
