About the roleYou will be responsible for providing network technical support for operational and project related activities. Including the following:
- Providing support and maintenance
- Assist with ensuring all externally provided data services and support resources are maintained to contracted levels
- Development of new network connections to clients as requested through standard processes.
- Doing day-to-day maintenance of the network
- Assist in the development, delivery and support of project-based ICT capabilities
- Preparation and completion of any relevant technical documentation in support of operational or project requirements.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Must have experience developing WAN, LAN and wireless technologies including experience in a multi-vendor data communications network environment.
- Must have experience installing, configuring and maintaining network services.
- Build effective professional relationships, in order to work collaboratively and provide a high-quality service in line with the team’s objectives and customer needs.
- Liaise and negotiate with and provide advice to a range of stakeholders.
- Identify issues and develop effective solutions to meet business objectives and outcomes.
- Relevant degree, diploma, certificate, vocational or industry certificate in the Data Telecommunications field and/or relevant work experience in a workstation client server WAN/LAN environment is highly desirable.
- This position requires an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) issued Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Class C driver licence is essential.
- This position may require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
