Job Title: Network Design Engineer
Start Date: ASAP – Pending cleared Police Check
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Pay Rate: $120 - $140/Hour + Super
Location: ACT
Checks - MUST HAVE OR BE ABLE TO OBTAIN NV1 Clearance
 
About the roleYou will be responsible for providing network technical support for operational and project related activities. Including the following:

• Providing support and maintenance
• Assist with ensuring all externally provided data services and support resources are maintained to contracted levels
• Development of new network connections to clients as requested through standard processes.
• Doing day-to-day maintenance of the network 
• Assist in the development, delivery and support of project-based ICT capabilities
• Preparation and completion of any relevant technical documentation in support of operational or project requirements.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

1. Must have experience developing WAN, LAN and wireless technologies including experience in a multi-vendor data communications network environment.
2. Must have experience installing, configuring and maintaining network services.

Qualifications

1. Relevant degree, diploma, certificate, vocational or industry certificate in the Data Telecommunications field and/or relevant work experience in a workstation client server WAN/LAN environment is highly desirable.
2. This position requires an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) issued Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
3. Class C driver licence is essential.
4. This position may require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
