About the team
Network Operations are pivotal in monitoring all active assets and overseeing the operation of the passive assets, including 3,500km of water mains and 3,500km of sewerage to provide safe drinking water supplies and sewerage collection.
About your new role
As a Network Operations Officer – Water, you will be responsible for providing expert advice for the effective operation of City of Gold Coast’s water distribution network.
What you'll be responsible for
- Scope, plan and coordinate water network planned and unplanned shutdowns.
- Manipulate the water network to manage supply to customers
- Undertake investigations based on SCADA, IoT and GIS data
- Review design and pre-construction drawings
- Proactively investigate networks for GIS discrepancies.
We're looking for people who have
- An understanding of SCADA and logging devices
- Experience in data analytics
- An ability to produce clear and concise shutdown plans
- Proven ability to work with team members and stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
- An enjoyment with working both indoors and outdoors
- High level of ICT competency
- Understanding of hydraulic principles.
