About the opportunity:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Network Quality Technician to provide lab oversight in support the Quality Assurance aspects of the Airservices Australia Enterprise Network Modernization Program (ENMP). This position is to provide additional resources to support multiple tasks including test witnessing, product verification, inspection and acceptance tasks for the ENMP program towards customer acceptance of products and systems. Essential Functions:
The Network Quality Technician reports to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for maintaining ENMP program compliance with the required quality standards. Tasks and duties may involve:
- Support ENMP as it continues to maintain independent quality accreditation
- Performs inspections of complex Circuit Card Assemblies, Electro-Mechanical Assemblies, computer equipment chassis and racks
- Performs in-process inspection and acceptance of repaired and reworked products
- Requires the ability to read and understand engineering drawings and bills of materials
- Performs final Inspection of equipment, test records and stages for customer inspection
- Requires the ability to communicate and interface with the Customer and Consortium partner Quality representatives on a daily or weekly basis, as required, to present finished goods, test results, and obtain Customer acceptance
- Performs configuration traceability audits of complete lab systems, seals, equipment racks, prepares test logs
- Supports test witness activities during acceptance testing dry runs and formal test activities
- Provides support to receiving inspection of procured equipment and parts
- Monitor test equipment certification/calibration requirements to ensure test equipment remains compliant
- Familiarity with Asset Management Tracking (Barcode) and Data Management systems is required
- Requires attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
- Assists in evaluating defect data to identify trends and collaborates with Quality Engineers to make recommendations on process improvements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication Systems preferred, with a minimum 4 years or prior related experience
- Motivated self-starter
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel to Customer and Consortium Partner sites in Australia to support testing
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Suite of products;
- Experience in electronics and test equipment operation is beneficial. Ability to multi-task, perform basic electrical troubleshooting and operate a variety of lab equipment while observing safety precautions are required. Candidates must also be team player, work autonomously, and must be available to work overtime, when necessary, with short notice. Must have a dependable attendance history
- Meticulous record keeping ability is essential
