Network Security Specialist

Job description

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage secure network solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments.
Conduct risk assessments and implement effective security measures to safeguard company networks and data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and integrate security solutions seamlessly.
Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security infrastructure.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve Network Security measures.
Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, addressing any identified weaknesses.
Collaborate with cloud service providers to ensure the security of cloud-based assets and services.
Provide expertise in incident response and participate in security incident investigations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Network Security Specialist with a focus on both on-premises and cloud solutions.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewall configurations, and VPN technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
