What you'll be doing
The Neurology clinical trials and Research Physiotherapist is a key team member in the neurotherapeutics service. As more clinical trials are rolled out alongside expanded access to disease modifying therapy there is a growing need for physiotherapy assessment and intervention.
Advanced physiotherapy clinical and leadership skills are essential in the integration of new therapies into standard care with Physiotherapy embedded into a significant number of neurology clinical trials.
Longer term survival due to disease modifying therapy is resulting in expanding phenotypes and unique challenges, many of which benefit from physiotherapy input.

• Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration.
• Significant postgraduate experience and knowledge in paediatric neurology.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Thorough knowledge of clinical trial processes and ICH/GCP guidelines desirable, with ability to liaise with community therapists to ensure optimum outcomes of trial/therapeutics patients.
• Demonstrated computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in database entry is desirable.
• Demonstrated extensive experience and ability in a range of paediatric neurology and clinical trials outcome measures and to be able to provide clinical supervision, train and support physiotherapists in this.
• Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement and assurance processes and participate in research activities.
• Demonstrated ability to provide advice on service delivery and development, practice and redesign.
