About you
- Formal professionally recognised qualifications in clinical Neuropsychology
- Experience in neuropsychological assessment of people with complex mental illness
- Experience in delivery of empirically supported treatment approaches for people with complex mental health and psychosocial needs
- Well-developed knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014 (Victoria)
- Highly developed and effective communication skills and demonstrated effectiveness working in an interprofessional team
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, continual improvement, risk management and occupational health and safety
Neuropsychologists provide specialist assessment and treatment for complex mental illness. You will work collaboratively with peer workers, allied health, nursing, community clinicians and psychiatrists to ensure people receive comprehensive care that helps consumers feel better. As part of our team you will contribute to an interprofessional working culture that values innovation and diversity.
- This role is responsible for ensuring contemporary evidence-based (add-) Neuropsychology services and assessment for clients within the clinical setting at Aged Psychiatry Service. 24hrs per fortnight, permanent part time.
- Barwon Health's Aged Psychiatry Service provides integrated and recovery orientated mental health assessment and treatment to people 65 and above within the Barwon Region currently experiencing, or at risk of experiencing mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues.

Essential: Masters or Doctoral level qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
Essential: Registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with specialist endorsement as a Clinical Neuropsychologist.
Essential: Registered as a supervisor with AHPRA.
Essential: Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
Essential: Proven ability to conduct neuropsychological assessments and the capacity to confidently and effectively communicate these findings both verbally and in writing to all other relevant and appropriate parties
Essential: Proven ability to provide evidence based interventions for people with neuropsychological impairments
Desirable: Eligibility for membership with the Australian Psychological Society.
Desirable: Experience working in a mental health setting
Desirable: Experience with neurodegenerative disorders
