The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Neuropsychologist - Senior to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver comprehensive neuropsychological services including assessment and diagnosis
- Provide clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and stakeholders
- Provide clinical practice professional supervision to less experienced psychologists
- Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise by engaging in, initiating and facilitating professional development activities
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
- Possession of post-graduate qualifications (e.g. Masters Degree, DPsych, PhD) from a relevant accredited neuropsychology training programme or equivalent
- AHPRA Registration
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver licence
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Permanent part time (30.4 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $62.75 - $67.53 per hour
The Cognitive Disorders Clinic (CDC) is a service within Chronic Disease and Post Acute Programs and is located within the directorate of Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services and the division of Emergency and Specialist Services (ESS), Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).The CDC is a community-based diagnostic program, providing a comprehensive multidisciplinary diagnostic and intervention service for people 45 years and over experiencing ‘cognitive problems' (requiring diagnosis and treatment) characterised by progressive cognitive decline, and/or memory impairment in the setting of a suspected dementia diagnosis. The CDC does not provide ongoing treatment or case management. The CDC neuropsychology service is provided across two locations: Robina Health Precinct and the Tugun Satellite Hospital.
