Graduating soon? We are seeking passionate Graduate Speech Pathologists to join our team!
As a Graduate Speech Pathologist, you will be supported through our 12-month Graduate Program. You will be provided with extensive learning and support to help you successfully transition from student to allied health professional. You will develop your knowledge and skills and gain competence and confidence as a therapist. After the 12-month program, you will continue on as a permanent ongoing employee.
- Two weeks of graduate specific orientation including a comprehensive introduction to our practice procedures, the NDIS and speech pathology assessments and interventions.
- Shadowing days.
- Weekly clinical supervision with a senior clinician. Increasing to fortnightly after 6 months.
- Monthly group supervision.
- Monthly internal professional development workshops.
- External professional development opportunities.

What are the core tasks of a Youthrive Graduate Speech Pathologist?
- Deliver individualised and group therapy services to children 0 to 18 years to develop communication and swallowing skills.
- Conduct assessments (articulation and phonology, literacy, language, pragmatics, dysphagia), analyse results and reports on funding for children and young people
- Participate in clinical case discussions to ensure holistic care is provided to clients
What skills and qualifications do you require to work for Youthrive?
- Strong interest in working with children and young people with complex needs including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays and disability.
- Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and hold Provisional Certified Practising Speech Pathologist status.
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Eligibility as a Medicare provider.
- A current driver’s license.
- Full vaccination with the prescribed number of doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved medical exemption.
