We are currently offering an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our residential construction team in an office and site based role.
As a New Start Site Supervisor your role will include:
- Managing, coordinating & checking the initial site inspection including demolition, earthworks to slab down.
- Ensuring that projects are completed on time, on budget, and to Shelford's high standards of workmanship
- Scheduling, allocating and managing contractors, suppliers & materials for optimum workflow on site
- Analysing & cross check architectural plan levels to site.
- Evaluating work on site and ensuring “Quality Standards” are achieved in accordance with contract documents and engineering details
- Managing the site, including site safety and cleanliness, security, care of adjacent properties, road reserves & verges, liaison with adjoining property owners when necessary
- Solving construction issues with trades and suppliers in an efficient time frame
- Maintaining effective communications with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders
As the successful candidate you will have:
- 5+ years of Site Supervision within residential construction
- Strong knowledge of demolition, earthworks, retaining, plumbing and concrete
- Strong commitment to high standards of quality and efficiency
- Capacity to work within tight time constraints
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to measure, use laser level and read floor levels
- Excellent client, people, and contractor management skills
- Excellent programming & planning skills
- Sound understanding of the relevant legislation, standards and codes and the ability to interpret building plans, engineers reports and specifications
- Effective communication and sound problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Diploma of Building and Construction will be highly regarded
