Our Information Risk & Non Financial Risk teams ensure there is appropriate review, challenge and advisory over risks associated with operational BAU and well as supporting any significant change initiatives. During 2023 our teams were an integral part of our organisation wide risk up-lift and we grew our SME function along with the careers of our team members.
As ING Australia moves further into 2024, we are facing increased demand for our expertise, with complex programs of transformation. This increase in deliverables has created a new contract opportunity for an experienced operational risk professional to join and support our team as they pivot to support new streams of work!
What you will do
Hit the ground running as you get to know our business, programs of work and stakeholders (inter-team peers as well as Business Unit key contacts)
Step into covering/back-filling key members and functions of our team in their activities
Assist and deliver second-line monitoring (SLM) and assurance activities relating across all business units in ING Bank Australia Limited (IBAL) including Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, Treasury, Operations and all support functions.
Contribute to compiling operational risk reporting Non-financial Risk profile, emerging risks and effectiveness of the Operational Risk Management Framework for BAU BU;s and well as project streams where required
Assisting NFR Management and team members with governance activities including preparation of committee packs, development of minutes and other supporting collateral
Update and involvement with policy and procedures
What experience you'll need
3-5 years operational risk experience. Preferably in a complex, regulated environment
Compliance, Risk projects or Op Risk Analyst experience useful
An ability to operate in ambiguity and with minimal supervision
Proficiency in risk management systems both as a user and an SME
Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Solid MS skills: Reporting, presenting and document-sharing
Comfort operating with EXCO, SLT and committees of all levels
Commercial acumen -Understanding of the business drivers and the strategic direction vs. risk management in achieving objectives
