The Role:

Applications are welcomed from PACS IT officers to join the team at Northern Health in the Northern Imaging Victoria department. We currently have a fulltime position available.

This role requires you to provide support to our PACS and Radiology team. The PACS IT officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of image verification, transmission and incorporation into patient files in the RIS/PACS.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum of a certificate or diploma in Healthcare Management, Health Information Systems, Information Technology or equivalent relevant practical experience.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency and intermediate MS Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy, including RIS-PACS experience, use and understanding.
  • Demonstrated attitude of an openness to learn, grow and change.
