Duties
Develop an annual works program for the Region in consultation with the other regional Works Coordinators and Manager, Traffic Signals Maintenance and consider the prioritisation of tasks based on the Traffic Signals and ITS asset management plan, regional needs, budgeting and resource allocations.
Undertake high level communication with internal and external stakeholders and contractors to ensure the delivery of traffic signals maintenance and ITS works.
Provide direct supervision and staff management of the regional teams.
Advise on ongoing review and currency of signal’s technical specifications and standards and be aware of technical developments and opportunities applicable to the asset.
Provide subject matter expert (SME) advice on the delivery of traffic signalisation, both new and modified, including advice on conceptual designs and drawings, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and standards.
Undertake lead communication activity within State Roads and ensure programmed works adhere to timings outlined in the Planned works on major commuting routes document.
Coordinate and manage the mobilisation of required technical resources to respond to emergency situations impacting traffic signals and related assets.
Monitor reported fault and defect data to formulate future maintenance programs Statewide. This includes the management of REFLECT and SCATS (signals fault and defect management systems), and staff compliance with these systems.
Support the Manager Traffic Signals Maintenance in key business planning activities.
Essential Requirements
Evidence of the following must be provided prior to appointment to this role:
Current Electrical Practitioners Licence
A Current Drivers Licence.
The person must continue to satisfy the above essential requirements/qualifications throughout their employment in this role.

White card (CPCCWHS1001)
Provide first aid (HLTAID001/002/003)
