Seeking independent NPA Assessor contractors for Victorian metro and regional offices.
About the role:
We are currently looking for passionate and motivated individuals to undertake Workplace Modification (WPM) assessments, Supported Wage (SWS) assessments and Ongoing Support (OSA) assessments across the North Melbourne metropolitan area through the Australian Government funded National Panel of Assessors.
This role is sub-contracted and you must have your own public liability & professional indemnity insurance.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have an understanding of employment support requirements for people with disability and mental illness, including workplace barriers and having the personal skills required to conduct assessments
- Work with an evidence based practice model, providing assessments and developing practical solutions to support these assessments
- Help establish and maintain positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders including multidisciplinary specialists, community groups, employers, customers and government agencies
- Excel at working to strict deadlines and can provide complete and comprehensive reports to substantiate assessments
Applicants must possess:
- Diploma or high level qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Vocational Training, or other diploma or higher-level qualification, relevant to providing the required assessment services.
- A minimum of two years experience working with clients who have a disability
- An ability to communicate effectively with a wide cross-section of the community
- High level report writing skills
- Initiative and organisational skills to manage assessments and follow up autonomously
- An ability to work within strict timeframes and flexibility to meet assessment demands. Most assessments are conducted within a 5 hour time limit excluding travel
- Past experience in Workplace Modification Assessments, SWS Assessments and Ongoing Support Assessments (desirable)
- Past experience with Disability Employment Services or Vocational Rehabilitation Services (desirable)
- State based Working With Children Check
- NDIS workers screening
- Current police check (within 12 months)
- Must have public liability and professional indemnity insurance
