We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Non-Residential Withdrawal Nurse to join our dedicated team in Footscray. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing addiction and withdrawal challenges, helping them on their path to recovery. Your role will involve direct patient care, counselling, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic care and support.
You will liaise with medical staff and other clinical staff to ensure the safe and effective management of withdrawal and co-occurring physical and mental health conditions.
The role also works closely with other AOD service streams (e.g. Intake and Assessment, Counselling, Care & Recovery Coordination, Residential Withdrawal, Residential Rehabilitation and Youth services) as well as related sectors to provide an integrated catchment wide service response.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registered Nurse Division 1
- Current registration with AHPRA.
- Certificate IV in AOD or have completed the core competencies (or able to complete within the first 12 months of employment).
- Competencies in mental health dual diagnosis (or able to complete within the first 24 months of employment).
- Experience in addiction and withdrawal care is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
