Registered Nurses – Cardiothoracic | Melbourne

Exciting opportunities exist for Registered Nurses with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to join the busy Cardiac/Cardiothoracic unit at a private hospital in Melbourne. Multiple permanent full-time roles are available.ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking perioperative nursing care in accordance with legislation;
• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care;
• Proactively assessing the perioperative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the patient;
• Completing all required documentation by local and National Policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current Registration with AHPRA;
• At least 2 years of experience;
• Experience in an acute hospital setting, ideally in a cardiac ward;
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
• Commitment to quality patient care;
• Ability to work well independently and within a team;
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

REMUNERATIONA salary ranges from $35.33 - $47.25 per hour, based on your years of relevant experience.ABOUT THE FACILITYThe hospital, located in Melbourne, is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 295 beds that provides Emergency Services, Intensive Care, and Cardiac Services, including a 24-hour Cardiac Cath Lab and Victoria's only Single-Site Robotic Surgery Program.
