Summary:
Nurse Anesthetists administer anesthesia to patients undergoing medical procedures, working closely with physicians, surgeons, and anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer anesthesia to patients before medical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Adjust anesthesia levels as necessary throughout the procedure
- Manage patients' recovery after the procedure and any side effects of anesthesia
- Document patients' medical histories and relevant information
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best treatment plan for patients
- Participate in patient education programs and counseling patients and families
- Keep up to date with changes in anesthesia techniques, medications, and medical technologies
Qualifications:
- Degree in nursing and license to practice as a registered nurse
- Additional certification in anaesthesia
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced medical environment.
