We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Nurse Consultant to join our team and help support our commitment to quality patient care!
About the Role:
Reporting to the Co-Director Surgery and Perioperative Medicine, the Nurse Consultant is responsible for the coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the Elective Surgery strategy which includes:
- Providing an ongoing liaison support to hospital clinicians and managers in the area of Elective Surgery management.
- Monitoring waiting list targets and other measures to enhance waiting list management.
- Providing operational advice on the achievement of Elective Surgery Performance Goals and the Elective Surgery Strategy.
About you:
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Must have at least 3 years post registration experience.
- Demonstrated competence in surgical nursing in accordance with the relevant standards.
- Ability to analyse complex clinical data and undertake presentations to community and professional groups.
