About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Consultant to provide advanced nursing and/or midwifery services, supporting the development, implementation, and provision of health systems aimed at enhancing services within country South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert acute cardiac advice and secondary prevention to residents of country South Australia.
- Align activities with the objectives to:
- Reduce emergency department presentations and hospital admissions for clients with cardiac disease.
- Decrease the length of stay for cardiac patients admitted to country SA hospitals.
- Improve access to health services for country patients.
- Facilitate timely transfers from metropolitan health services back to the community.
- Enhance the effective use of health services by vulnerable groups.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Current cardiovascular experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the cardiac rehabilitation model of care within regional local health networks.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
