About the role
- Provide expert nursing comprehensive Mental Health assessment and provide clinical interventions to consumers with complex/immediate Mental Health needs through an integrated nursing care within a risk management framework.
- In consultation with medical staff the NC will develop and implement a disposition plan for the consumer
- Enhance the leadership of Mental Health nursing team and provide clinical support to the emergency department. responding promptly to requests for MHNNC intervention as close as possible to the point of triage.
- Apply and share expert clinical knowledge to improve consumer outcome.

Essential Requirements:
Educational / Vocational Qualifications
- Registered as a Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia for at least three years and holds a current practising certificate.
- Holds a qualification in Mental Health nursing equivalent to a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
