ALACC is a Vocational Education and Training college based in Preston, Melbourne that has been delivering nationally recognised courses for the past 18 years to local, government-funded, and international students. The school is easily accessible by public transport, with the 86-tram stopping right in front of the building and just a 7-minute walk from Bell station on the Mernda train line.
We seek a Nurse Educator to deliver Online or Face-to-Face any of the specialisations in the Advanced Diploma of Nursing (Mental Health, Critical Care, Aged Care, Acute, Renal, Perioperative, Remote and Rural and Community and Primary Health Care Specialisation units) at ALACC.
We are a supportive organisation that believes in our students succeeding in their studies and beyond. The educator must be a Registered Nurse (or greater) and have a TAE.
The following duties are ESSENTIAL to the role:
- Specialisation in any one of the above.
- Review course material
- Assessments
- Managing and ensuring course content on Moodle is accurate and relevant
- Research student learning material to support self-study (e.g. self-directed learning packages)
- Teach the course as developed in line with the training package and ALACC standards
- Ensure assessments meet the assessment requirements as per the training package and/or accredited course.
- Organise student assessments by setting the submission dates, marking assessments in a timely manner, reporting assessment results, discussing poor assessment results with students, and recording assessments.
- Follow student timetables
- Maintain progress reports and assessment records
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration (or above)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
- Industry experience
- Technology capabilities, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
