We are looking for dedicated and skilled Nurse Managers to join us in the Repat Health Precinct to help make a difference in Southern Adelaide's local community!
The Repat Health Precinct (Repat) was established during World War 2 as the Adelaide Military Hospital where it was a thriving as a hospital until its temporary closure in 2017.The site has since undergone significant construction and is now open to the community with a town square, café and playground established for patients, families, and the community to utilise.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Nursing Director, Nursing Midwifery & Patient Services, you will use your clinical knowledge and experience to provide support services to both Nurse Unit Managers and Nursing Directors. Some of your duties may include:
- Providing After Hours oversight and management of the Health Precinct including staff allocation, operational management of patient/client flow and access.
- Supporting and leading After Hours clinical staff to enable early identification of "at risk" patients to prevent clinical deterioation and progressing patient care.
- As a part of the After Hours team, providing an expert Nursing/Midwifery consultancy in relation to your expert knowledge and follow up care.
About you:
- Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
- Experience in clinical management and leadership roles.
- Tertiary qualifications in nursing and/or midwifery or human services related discipline relevant to the practice setting.
