Overview
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) Clinical Worker Health is a pivotal role within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu LHN, responsible for delivering comprehensive Clinical Worker Health services. The incumbent will provide essential immunisation services to both employees and Residential Aged Care residents, conduct immunisation pre-employment screenings, offer care and guidance in cases of blood/body fluid exposure (BBFE), facilitate contact tracing for preventable communicable diseases, and offer expertise on allergic reactions to PPE and hand hygiene products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer immunisations to BHFLHN employees and Residential Aged Care residents.
- Conduct immunisation pre-employment screenings.
- Provide care and advice in cases of blood/body fluid exposure (BBFE) to BHFLHN employees.
- Assist in contact tracing following staff exposure to preventable communicable diseases.
- Offer guidance to staff and managers regarding allergic reactions to PPE and hand hygiene products.
- Uphold high practice standards and facilitate the development of less experienced staff.
- Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in service leadership.
- Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other AN/MUMs and the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent.
- Aid in the implementation of practice changes as directed.
- Assist in service management responsibilities as needed, including performance management, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation, attendance management, and financial and supplies planning and monitoring.
