A new initiative coming out of the Royal Commission, the Barwon MHHITH is one of a limited number of HITH programs being established and evaluated across the state of Victoria. The service provides timely and effective, intensive treatment and support for individuals aged 16 years and older with high acuity Mental Health and / or AOD needs, in their home environment. The service provides 9 adult and youth acute Mental Health bed-equivalent packages of care and operates 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
About the role
Lead the clinical team in providing evidence based care and assisting with the development of all clinical team members.
Function autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role, providing innovative and flexible health solutions. You will have specific clinical responsibilities in relation to consumer admissions to MH HITH. You will have the opportunity to influence and progress evidence based clinical practises and procedures.
These roles will be rostered to cover the MH HITH program 7 days per week between the hours of 07.00 – 21.30hrs, focusing on evenings and weekend shifts to enhance clinical leadership outside of business hours.
About you
- Authorised to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated advanced competency for Nurse Practitioner in Mental Health and / or Alcohol and Other Drugs
- Evidence of a focus on, and a passion for, high quality consumer care, that is both recovery focused and trauma informed.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership roles
