About the Role:
As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for providing the coordination and guidance in relation to nursing management practises by enabling and supporting operational and strategic organisational/divisional goals, working in collaboration with the Nursing Director/Facility Manager Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital and Logan Urgent and Specialist Care Centre supporting the overall efficient and effective management, benchmarking, maintaining standards and optimising patient/program outcomes.
This role may be required to support Logan Emergency and Logan Specialist Outpatient Department NUM roles.

Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital:
The Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital is one of seven new healthcare facilities being delivered in South-East Queensland under the Queensland's Government's Satellite Hospital Program. Managed by Logan Hospital, the facility will be designed to provide healthcare services, closer to home for the rapidly growing community.
The Eight Mile Plains Satellite Hospital will include:
- a minor injury and illness clinic
- day therapies including kidney dialysis, chemotherapy, allied health and specialist outpatient services.
Logan Urgent and Specialist Care Centre:
The Logan Urgent and Specialist Care Centre Minor Injury and Illness Centre will provide non-scheduled, episodic care to patients presenting with low acuity injuries and illnesses that are not required to be managed within an acute hospital setting or Emergency Department.
The Specialist Outpatient Department provides consumers access to the assessment and management of a vast range of medical conditions which require specialist opinion and intervention in an outpatient setting and focuses on delivering healthcare with a holistic patient centred focus. The Outpatient Department provides patient services Monday to Friday for a wide variety of specialty clinics.
