Are you an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse looking to join our Nurse Management team?
Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our CCU / Cardiothoracic Ward on a Full-Time, fixed term basis for 8 months with the possibility of extension. About us
Our 339 bed, 22 operating theatre facility is conveniently co-located with the Gold Coast University Hospital and Griffith University, forming part of a truly unique healthcare and education precinct. We have recently had major redevelopment works including the build of a new CCU / Cardiothoracic Ward. This ward has been exceptionally well designed with large patient rooms, latest equipment and generous and efficient staff working areas; and has an experienced and stable team of CCU/Cardiothoracic nurses.

As a Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
- Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
- Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
- Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
- Be accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
- Undertaking direct patient care, as required
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Essential Criteria:
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Proven experience building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
- Post graduate qualification in Management (Desirable)
- Extensive experience in CCU / Cardiothoracic nursing
- Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management
- Understand the requirements of private health funding
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
