OverviewWe have a great opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager who will use their clinical knowledge and experience to provide the pivotal coordination of patient/client care delivery in a patient/client care area within Barmera Health Service.The main focus of this role is the line management, coordination and leadership of nursing/midwifery and/or multi-disciplinary team activities to achieve continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes.The Nurse Unit Manager accepts accountability for the outcomes of nursing/midwifery practices and/or multidisciplinary outcomes in the specific practice setting; for addressing inconsistencies between practice and policy; and for developing team performance and a positive work culture in the interest of patient/client outcomes.Please refer to the job pack below for more detailed information.EligibilityApplicants must be registered for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with at least 3 years post registration experience.You will be expected have have a demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice in accordance with the relevant standards and have previous experience in management and leadership roles, supervising students, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses and or Midwives.About the RegionThe Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network, called RMCLHN for short, supports more than 70,000 people living in country South Australia in the towns and surrounds of Renmark, Paringa, Berri, Barmera, Waikerie, Loxton, Pinnaroo, Lameroo, Karoonda, Mannum, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Meningie, Tintinara and Coonalpyn.for more information about working for RMCLHN.Important InformationBeing part of Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network (RMCLHN) means you will be supported both personally and professionally and can take advantage of education and training opportunities to support you in your role.The RMCLHN promotes flexible ways of working to enable employees to better balance work, personal life, and family commitments.
