Nurse Unit Manager - Chaps (500826) - Multiple Vacancies

The role:

• Leads and manages the coordination of client care within the designated team/s within the Child Health and Parenting Services (CHaPS) in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework.
• Provides leadership in contemporary nursing practice and promotes an environment conducive to innovation and change.
• Manages the financial, physical, and human resources of the designated team/s within Child Health and Parenting Services (CHaPS) to achieve agreed service outcomes within the allocated budget.
• Monitors, manages, and reports on Child Health and Parenting Services (CHaPS) performance activity levels.
• Monitors and manages staff performance and development.

The team:

• The Child Health Parenting Service is the core primary health provider of Child and Family Health Nursing services across Tasmania, including growth and developmental screening, parenting support and targeted family support.
• Work in a primary healthcare environment with a focus on delivering services in partnership with Tasmanian families.
• This role provides direct leadership and management to clinical teams across the South of Tasmania.

Details of Appointment

Multiple Permanent, full time and part time, day worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Location: Hobart, Tasmania

Salary: $118,801 to $125,301 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
• Current Working with Children Registration

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

• Relevant post-graduate qualification
• Post-graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing and Health Management
