With a 6 bed Birth Suite, 29 bed Maternity Unit and 9 bed Special Care Unit your work will be fast paced and very rewarding.This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging Midwifery Manager to join the Women's and Children's nursing and midwifery leadership team. Professional development opportunities and mentoring available.The role:The Nurse Unit Manager:
- Provides leadership to the Maternity Unit, Launceston General Hospital.
- Ensures the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education and nursing research functions within the Maternity Unit.
- Leads and manages the coordination of overall patient care and is responsible for managing the allocated human, material and financial resources for service delivery within the Maternity Unit, Launceston General Hospital.
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 and Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Interim Agreement 2013
