What you'll be doing
This position is responsible for the safe and effective delivery of the School Immunisation Program within the North Coast Public Health Unit.
This position will provide management and clinical leadership to the School Immunisation Program Team, ensuring the provision of the School Immunisation program is safe and efficient, while maintaining standards of care that reflect current standards of nursing and public health practice and Mid North Coast Local Health District and MOH School Immunisation Program policies and procedures.
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available.
Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at .

- Registered Nurse with Current Authority to Practice with AHPRA and at least 5 years’ full-time experience
- Current Authorised Nurse Immuniser in NSW
- Comprehensive understanding of the importance of Immunisation and the role of Public Health in managing the prevention and management of vaccine preventable disease in the population.
- Experience in the management and delivery of health programs.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills and demonstrated experience in staff and resource management.
- Must be willing to practice continuous professional development and to undertake further training or study as required for role.
- Unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence and ability to travel for work.
