This dynamic and multifaceted role involves servicing perioperative services, the emergency department, and outpatient oncology services in Narrabri. We seek a professional with a strong background in perioperative care, as this is a crucial aspect of the position. The role combines clinical expertise with administrative responsibilities, emphasizing the management of key performance indicators (KPIs) across emergency services, perioperative care, and AS5369 standards.
The ideal candidate will ensure high-level service delivery and efficient waitlist management, contributing to the exceptional healthcare services provided by Narrabri District Hospital.
Where you'll be working:
Nestled in the picturesque Namoi Valley of New South Wales, Narrabri offers a unique blend of modern healthcare and natural beauty.
The Narrabri District Hospital is a Level 3 facility, equipped with a 24-hour staffed emergency department, perioperative services available two to three days a week, and oncology outpatient care two days a week. The perioperative services include endoscopy and dental procedures, supported by various visiting specialists.
Just east of the town lies the stunning Mount Kaputar National Park, an outdoor enthusiast's dream with opportunities for camping, cycling, horse riding, and birdwatching. The park's Swan Rocks walking track reveals fascinating volcanic formations, providing a glimpse into the region's geological history. Conveniently located midway between Sydney and Brisbane, Narrabri is approximately a six-and-a-half-hour drive from either city, with flights available three days a week, making it an accessible and appealing destination for both residents and visitors.
